The Trovants

13 kilometers south

Trovant, Bozioru, RO

Driving on a bumpy road, still in the Land of Luana, we saw a road sign that said for Trovants turn right, and so we did. An old village with a very small number of families, a cozy place with trees with fruits on the side of the road, inviting us to some sort of meditation.

Car parked. Trovants 750 m straight ahead.

We took our trekking sticks and started walking again on that forest road, between some old abandoned homes. The road ends with a very old willow – it took 3 persons to hug it, we hugged it all. After climbing some improvised stairs through shrubs and spiders on a 15 inches path with weird footprints, we saw it!

We saw A ROCK! Its base was covered in sand?!

So here we are, on top of the cliff, where the august sun was smiling again, the sand was so fine that any gust of wind swept it away. Clusters of perfectly round rocks, built in slices or onion leaves covered partially in sand. I felt like Olaf, I was running towards them and hugged them, they were cold as ice, but irradiated some sort of warm and cozy energy. I stood in front of one of them for a couple of minutes waiting for it to respond somehow, it felt like I was in The Valley of living Rocks (from Disney’s movie, Frozen). We moved on, on a sandy path between “the trolls” (Frozen), and arrived in a meadow were some weird structures appeared, some of them looked like columns, others like giants. It felt like those were pre-human attempts or Luana’s unborn clay golems that fossilized. My wife had another opinion, she thought that might’ve been a very old underwater civilization, like Atlantida, due to the fine motifs. I felt in love with that place, we stood there and watched the sunset, with our new friends.

I am sure a bond was created, and we will meet again.

The sand of The Old Sea, compacted into a mountain, uncovering after millions of years their gorgeous treasures.
